Last weekend, Tenzing sponsored the Blenheim Triathlon, held in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace. The team were handing out ice-cold Tenzing to spectators and finishers, but this wasn’t our usual weekend sampling event, Team Tenzing also competed in the Triathlon too. Tenzing is built around the idea of team ethos; Sherpa Tenzing Norgay along with Edmund Hillary were the first two men to summit Mount Everest, so teamwork is really at the core of our brand. Completing the triathlon was a huge team effort - for some it was like reaching our very own Everest (with the help of a Tenzing or three).
Sponsoring the Blenheim Triathlon was an amazing opportunity for the team. Our naturally energising and refreshing drink was perfect for competitors and spectators in the warm weather. Tenzing’s triple hit of natural caffeine, electrolytes and vitamin C makes it perfect pre or post race.
We sponsor events such as half marathons and triathlons because they can be made attainable to all, nothing too extreme, and the kind that are great for spectators too! We are passionate about inspiring people to be as active as possible and so handing out ice cold cans at the finish line at these seems fitting! From the elite to first time racers, the relief and exhilaration which comes with crossing the line, is like no other feeling.
For Team Tenzing, the Blenheim triathlon was our team summit. Our brand ethos is inspired by Sherpa Tenzing Norgay’s - the same ideals we used to create Tenzing Natural Energy into what it is today: team spirit, achieving our every everest and, most importantly, Energy.
